I am so glad summer finally decided to make it's way to our little valley for so many reasons ... Play dates at the park  SUNSHINE  swimming  BBQ's with friends   PopSicLes  lazy mornings   Looking at stars   Jumping on the tramp with the Kiddos  Warm nights   HOMEMADE ICE CREAM  flip flops   No school   water fights    time with family     4-WHEELING   hiking   and of course  WATERMELON!

My cute 'lil neice is getting baptized in a few weeks and I got to take some fun pictures of her for her baptism invite. The tulips were in full bloom up at the temple, and they were so PRETTY! Kylie is so photogenic. I can't believe she's already turning eight!

Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

2 cups buttermilk

2 eggs

2 Tbsp. oil

2 Tbsp. Honey

1/2 tsp. salt

2 cups wheat flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

Mix dry ingredients together first.  Make a nest in the middle and add beaten eggs and buttermilk.  Fold together and mix lightly.  Cook on a preheated griddle.  Makes 16 - 20 pancakes.  We like to top these with homemade low sugar strawberry jam and fresh strawberries.  Enjoy!

*note: keep wheat flour fresh by freezing it after you grind it!

My kids love these pancakes.  They always eat at least 2 or 3 each, and they really fill 'em up.  No more asking for snacks one hour after breakfast :)  Even my little one year old can't help but lick the plate when she's done!

My sweet friend Trisha called me to take pictures of her cute little ones. Naomi just turned 4 and James turned 2. I knew she had to be in some too, because she is so beautiful! We had so much fun. Is it bad that I'm jealous of Naomi's skin?
